The James West Centre is a multi-purpose community venue located within the new Welbury Farm development in north Hailsham. |
Owned and managed by Hailsham Town Council, the Centre consists of an 18m x 11.7m hall, able to accommodate an audience of around 200 seated, in addition to two meeting rooms. |
The Centre also includes a modern kitchen, store rooms, toilets, changing rooms and a P.A. system. |
The facility can be hired for community events, sports, business meetings, memorial services, youth groups and other social events, as well as private function hire. |

Deputy Lieutenant of East Sussex Mr Miles Jenner formally opened the Centre at a special event attended by family members of the late James West, hirers of the centre local residents and town councillors, including the former Deputy Mayor Grant De Jongh.

Not only has the new Centre already helped to expand opportunities for community and sports activities in Hailsham, but it has also met the growing need for community and private hire space now and into the future. |
